House prices are falling to the degree that the number of people able or willing to buy a property shrinks swiftly, the Nationwide building society said.
One of the key reasons by reason of the dearth of buyers is that tens of thousands are worried here and there the crippling impact of the Government’s austerity plans.
And the mortgage lending drought caused by banks and building societies is only adding to the puzzle.
It is predicted that 600,000 public sector workers will misspend their jobs, with many facing a struggle to find a starting a~ post in a private sector where fewer businesses are recruiting.
